Hourly Comics 2025

Hourly Comics Day is an annual challenge on February 1st to draw a comic/panel/page for every hour that you're awake. I took a less literal approach to that prompt, ommitting hours from my comics and simply drawing what I did during the day. The pages are drawn with washable marker on paper, and scanned in black and white with minor editing for readability.

Lief snoozes three alarms on his phone that says 7:00AM, 8:00AM, and 8:45AM. He sits up in bed. There is a cat on his lap. He brushes his teeth, and the mirror says Hourly Comics Day. Lief pours water from a kettle into a mug with a tea bag, and picks up a slice of cold pizza. He sits on the couch and reads the news from a laptop. Sufficiently despondent, he buries his face in a cat's fur for comfort. Lief is sitting at his desk, drawing. He bundles up in winter clothes, and deposits some mail into a USPS drop box outside. Back inside, Lief injects testosterone into his abdomen (4 days late). Lief's girlfriend asks him to photograph her, and he does, laying on the floor to get an optimal shot of her weilding a sword. Then they get ready for DND. Their characters are both dogs, depicted in costume. Lief's DND character lays on the ground with 1 HP and a status effect of Exhaustion. Lief recovers his HP by eating more pizza and watching TV with the cat. Then he goes back to drawing. Lief brushes his teeth and puts on his ALDI brand pyjamas. His plans to work at his computer are foiled by the cat on his keyboard, so he settles into bed for the night, the cat asleep on top of him.
